Professional Counselling & Psychotherapy

Living through a pandemic is hard. It’s normal to experience anxiety, a sense of loss, hopelessness or loneliness particularly if you have been directly impacted physically, financially, or emotionally.

If relationships have become tense and difficult, if you are feeling depressed, anxious, demotivated, disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck or alone, unable to stop feelings, thoughts or behaviours, experiencing nightmares or unwanted flashbacks; whether it be because of covid or other reasons, counselling can bring about changes.

Counselling can bring relief through helping you:
- find clarity, insight and direction
- learn new ways to cope with feelings, regulate emotions and manage difficulties
- gain a better understanding of yourself amidst challenges faced
- identify unhelpful patterns of thoughts or behaviour and cycles

As we gain greater understanding of ourselves and the challenges we are facing, we are in a better position to bring balance and find meaning in life, to heal and detangle from the sadness, the anxiety, or stress, to strengthen who we are, and facilitate well-being and growth.

Healing Mind & Body

A Process of Self-Discovery

One of the most important roles I hold in therapy is to ensure that you feel safe and understood. I provide a non-judgmental and supportive space to enable working through whatever it is that stops you from building the life you want, or being the person you wish to be.

My approach to treatment is eclectic, meaning that I draw on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques that are evidence based, and tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual. In many instances, I incorporate aspects of psychodynamic, emotion-focused, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy in treatment.

I provide both in-person and online counselling. If you would like to know more about counselling and therapy, please reach out.
