Emily obtained her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology in Melbourne and speaks languages fluently in both English and Cantonese. She has practiced in both Australia and Hong Kong, in counselling centres, non profit organizations, hospitals, schools and in private practice.  As a registered Clinical Psychologist, she is accountable to providing ethical and professional psychological services that adheres to the APS Code of Ethics. Emily adopts a client centered, integrated approach to treatment based on psychodynamic, emotion-focused, mindfulness, and cognitive/behavioural theories. She works with her clients exploring and addressing pain, conflicts and distressing emotional experiences in a gentle and sensitive way. 

With over 10 years of experience in the field, she has worked with adults and children who experience a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal/ relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, obsessive behaviours and addictions as well as issues relating to personal growth and life direction. She is also experienced in working with families dealing with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.
